Client Rights Statement
As a client of Family Counselling Centre you have the right to professional, confidential services that respect your background, culture, beliefs, life experiences and differing needs.
You also have the right to:
Participate in your care
Be provided your rights in writing, including the complaint process.
Receive clear information.
Ask questions and have your questions answered.
Actively participate in the planning and delivery of your services.
Review and correct information in your agency file/record.
Provide feedback about your experience and complain if you believe
your rights have been violated.
Participate voluntarily in services and withdraw at any time.
Be respected
Be treated with dignity and courtesy.
Receive services that respect your culture, gender and sexual orientation, and religion.
Feel welcome, safe and secure.
Access services that are barrier-free and value your independence and equal opportunity.
Quality service and confidentiality:
Receive high-quality services conducted in a professional and caring manner.
Expect and receive confidential services that respect your privacy.
Be informed about client record retention policies prior to the commencement of service.
Be informed of services available to you and associated fees.
